Food from Afar is the new name for International Cuisine! We aim to try all sorts of food from around the world, not just curries.

4th June 2026 - Tarboush, 12a Market St, Loughborough

Twelve of us managed to find parking and the way to the Taraboush in Market street in Loughborough for a meal of Syrian and Moroccan fare. The restaurant was very nicely decorated to give the impression that we were somewhere Moroccan, rather than in Loughborough. The food was truly authentic, well presented and graciously served by attentive, pleasant and helpful staff. A truly enjoyable time was had by all.

Our next Venue will help us to prepare for celebrating American independence day with a typically American Smokehouse BBQ. It will be at the Hickory's Smokehouse, Swarkestone Road, Chellaston DE73 5UE. So Far, twelve people have signed up.
