Food from Afar is the new name for International Cuisine! We aim to try all sorts of food from around the world, not just curries.

3rd September - Taste of Thai in Market Street, Ashby

Eighteen of us sampled the oriental delights of Thailand at the Taste of Thai in Market Street in Ashby. Once again we were served with very tasty morsels elegantly presented by the excellent staff. One dish was not what was ordered but the staff corrected the error with absolutely no fuss. Food was plentiful, of excellent quality and served good and hot. A number were unable to finish everything set before them and the staff happily boxed it up for us to take home.

Our next event will be at the Slice of India, Mansfield Road, Derby DE21 4AW at 6pm on 1st October 2026. So Far, Twelve people have signed up.
