Food from Afar is the new name for International Cuisine! We aim to try all sorts of food from around the world, not just curries.

3rd April 2025 - Taste of Thai, Market Street

Twelve expectant stomachs presented themselves at the Taste of Thai this month. They were under the watchful eye of Brenda, who had volunteered to lead the group in the absence of Colin and Sharon who were chasing the Northern Lights, north of the Arctic Circle. Clearly, Brenda did an excellent job and a good time was had by all. As usual, the service was good and, for most, the food was extremely palatable.

Our next jaunt is to COSMO World Buffet Restaurant, London Road, Derby DE1 2PA on 1st May 2025 at 6pm. Twelve have already booked for the occasion but we can increase the booking if more wish to join us. If you wish to attend, please let Colin Woodland know at food_from_afar@ashbyu3a.co.uk.
