Coffee and Chat

The Coffee and Chat group meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at various cafes or tea shops.
Everyone is welcome. Sign up sheets will be placed on the table at the monthly meeting or you can book a place by email to coffee@ashbyu3a.co.uk.

18th June 2026 - Swarkstone Nursery

Twelve of us gathered at the recently refurbished Swarkestone Nursery Garden Cafe for tea, coffee and cakes. The café area has been much increased and redecorated and the servery are completely reorganised. Once the new system of ordering had been mastered, all went well. Our orders were efficiently and correctly delivered to our table. A good time was had by all. afterwards, many browsed the garden centre and some purchased new plants for their gardens before returning home.

Our next gathering will be at Newlands Farm, Hilton DE65 5GQ at 10am on 8 July 2026. 7 have signed up to be there so far. If you would like to join us, please let Colin Woodland Know at coffee@ashbyu3a.co.uk or sign upon the sheet at the back of the church at the monthly meeting.
