Monday 27th July. From Ticknall led by Christine
Just the 2 of us completed the 10 mile walk. Quite a cool morning with some cloud, so ideal for walking. We went along Chapel lane turning left to follow the foot path towards Stanton Wood, then into Robin Wood, which for once was mud free. At Woodend cottage we turned right to follow the path towards St Brides, as some fellow walkers were sitting on the bench we continued onto Melbourne which was our half way stop. On our way back we walked around Melbourne pool and up to Staunton Harold Reservoir and into Serpentine Wood giving us some shade as the sun was breaking through. Finished at Ticknall car park with coffee and homemade carrot cake.
