Social Events

We try to organise a small number of social events throughout the year. These are often subsidised to reduce the cost. All members are welcome to take part. Details will appear below and will be advertised at the monthly meetings.

Friday 26th July. Bowls evening
On an evening that threatened rain, 16 of us tried our hand at Bowls, at Ashby Bowls Club on the Bath Grounds.
The Club made us feel very welcome; they were patient with our efforts, teaching us the rules of the games and telling us how to improve our performance.
We had a varied amount of success and judging by my group a lot of laughter.
After playing we retired to the clubhouse for a well earned drink.
A very good evening.
If anyone is interested, the Bowls club will start next April with free coaching, I have details of this, so just contact me and I can pass on the details.
