The gardening group visited Powis Castle in Wales today and again we had fabulous weather. The coach journey was trouble free and we arrived at the time planned. Being in Wales the site was very steep and the castle itself looked very impressive as we approached. Going down to the garden was a real treat with panoramic views and some of the most beautiful plants in glorious colours laid out before us. The gardens are quite extensive and primarily in tiers there are huge trees, extra large flowers, tiny flowers, shrubs, urns and statues. Plants were available to purchase too.
Everyone seemed to have a lovely day with time to explore the castle inside and also the museum.
